Senior Scientist

Responsibilities

Education & Experience Requirements:

Lead Industrial Designer/Engineer

We have a rare and exciting opportunity for and Industrial Designer/Engineer to creatively build their career. 

We’re looking for a proven, passionate, and innovative Industrial Designer/Engineer to join the core of our team and help shape the company. This person will play a key role in product design/development and R&D. Our technology has almost endless applications, giving an opportunity for this person to gain exposure in most of the world’s largest industries. This person needs to be highly analytical and able to execute on their creative ideas to help bring both industrial and consumer products to market.

 

Position Responsibilities

Develop an innovative product design concept based on input from our startup team

In depth simulation analysis

Sketch & reiterate initial design ideas

Create CAD drawings of process flows and final product design

Collaborate with other internal/external design teams

Support R&D and project proposal writing

 

Education & Experience Requirements:

Graduate degree in design and/or mechanical engineering preferred

Extensive prototyping and simulation analysis experience

Experience in designing process-flow and end-product design

A high degree of technical knowledge balanced with creative ability and a hands-on approach

Willingness and ability for rapid iterations within a fast-paced project

Preferred skills: AutoCAD, SolidWorks, MS Project, MATLAB, MS Excel

Familiarity with machining and welding tools.

Executive Assistant

ViaeX Technologies is a rapidly growing Bay Area startup team that is looking for an executive assistant to join their team. This person will provide high level support for the team, as well as, oversee all day-to-day office operations. ViaeX is developing a bio-engineered, nano-membrane solutions platform. You will have the rare opportunity to work alongside and learn from our start-up co-founders.

RESPONSIBILITIES
 

Plan, organize and manage calendars and schedules for the teams

Greet potential clients and assist with their needs

Coordinate executive travel arrangements, often on short notice

Manage outside vendors, facilities and office operations at our South San Francisco office including: Real estate issues, venue planning, ordering supplies, communications with building manager etc.

Take initiative to plan for upcoming needs of the leadership team

Identify administrative processes requiring improvement and propose viable solutions

Ensure offices are neat and orderly, equipped with supplies

Updated and maintain company’s website.

 

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
 

0-1 year of executive support experience for C-level staff

Highly proficient in MS Office, Google Docs, and CRM tools

Experience creating processes and systems that help the organization run smoothly

Excellent customer-service orientation, high degree of professionalism, diplomacy and ability to work with limited direction

Strong oral and written communicator; detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy

VP of Operations

ViaeX Technologies is a rapidly growing Bay Area startup team that is looking for the most senior role on the operations team.

RESPONSIBILITIES
 

General strategic planning, development, and implementation of both short and long term objectives that are in line with ViaeX’s overall vision.

Develop and execute an integrated go-to-market plan for ViaeX, including feature roll out, product positioning, and routes to the market.

Assess market priorities and help prioritize R&D investments.

Aid in the development of custom pricing models for corporate clients.

Manage and direct operations to meet budget and financial goals.

Develop, establish, and direct the execution of operating policies to support overall company objectives.

Lead performance management process to measure and evaluate progress against goals.

Oversee all administrative functions, ensuring daily operations.

Oversee contract negotiations and legal activities: client contracts, partnership agreements, vendor contracts and other legal documents.

Manage individual performance by establishing annual operating objectives for each employee with quarterly reviews. Also establish annual development plan for each employee and provide ongoing coaching.

Interact with R&D team to ensure appropriate systems are in place to achieve goals.

Oversee the HR function, including: recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and retention, as well as, compensation and benefits administration

 

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
 

3-5 years of strategic planning and implementation experience

1-2 years of relevant B2B startup operations experience

Huge bonus is you had experience in operations for B2B filtration products

Managing multiple projects in a manner that focuses the team and drives results

Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline is preferred but not required

RESPONSIBILITIES
 

Closely work with founding team to execute on growth initiatives

Lead and grow the marketing team with close collaboration with revenue, product and finance management

Lead the team to develop and execute integrated growth initiative and account based marketing campaigns

email, social, search, content marketing, guest blogging

Conduct real-life testing of ideas, refining and iterating as you go (being a champion for hypothesis-based marketing testing)

Analyze and report growth success throughout the organization
