Lida Baghernejad, PhD
Lida Baghernejad is a Senior Scientist at ViaeX Technologies. She is in charge of the fabrication and optimization of functional biomaterials.
Prior to ViaeX, Lida played a management roll in a nano-laboratory where she trained and assisted academic and industrial researchers in synthesizing, functionalizing and characterizing nano-scale materials. She has also worked as a research assistant for the University of Tulsa and the Chevron Energy Company Center for Research Excellence (TU-CoRE). She is the primary inventor of a patent for the fabrication of three-types of nanofiber membrane filters for separating oil-water mixtures.
Lida received a bachelors degree in Pure Chemistry and a masters degree in Physical Chemistry from Shiraz University (former Pahlavi University), in Shiraz, Iran; and has a PhD in Nanomaterials Chemistry from the University of Tulsa. When she is not in the lab spinning new membranes, she works on her interior design and decoration skills. She is already planning how ViaeX’s new office and laboratories will look when we move to a new location later in 2018.
